Korean Art Form - Volume 1

One of my co-ordinator's (and soon to be my) religion class students took us out to experience the artform known as Pansori. It was very interesting to say the least, reminds me of Chinese cinema (sorry, blame Yuen Woo Ping and John Woo) and is indigenous to Korea...one of the more authentic occurrences that I have been looking for and was pleased to find. Rather than give you my thought process about the show, I have included some video for you. The women are wearing traditional Korean dresses called Hanboks and the men at the end are kind of a variety show favorite in Korea. You've seen players like them in my earlier videos...just not as elaborate.

Enjoy!
